Attendees: Marti Coan, Trisha Zander, Rhoda Sievert, , Chris Trudell, Kevin Wasco, Jerry Mortimer, Randy Kuehl, Jill Rechner, Carlton Sealock, Tom Wannamaker, Mike Jones

Call to Order- Marti Coan called the meeting to order at 7:34pm
 
Approval of Minutes- Jerry Mortimer made a motion to approve the November minutes and seconded by Carlton Sealock. Approved unanimously. 
 
Scheels Donation- Jerry Mortimer worked with Scheels and they are the World Cup sponsor for Flatgrass for the next 5 years for naming rights of the tournament. Scheels also presented a check to the club for and additional $2,500.
 
President’s update
East Central AGM Highlights
·        WYSA AGM Madison March 24
·        14 & 14 roosters up to 22 players
·        Player signature will not be needed on players passes 2012-2013
·        Classic will have a 9 game season ending by June 29
·        Clubs and teams need to be aware Niagara north will be playing home games in Niagara – no longer in Howard
·        Each club should designate a home games commissioner – will have training, ability to change games – following past process. Wayne from KASA will be train.
·        Marti Coan elected VP
 
Dick’s Sporting Goods  – Marti & Jerry will continue conversation with them after the first of the year. Looking at a shopping day and/or donation of equipment.
 
 
 
 
 
New Business
 
State of the Club:
 
Establish a club budget  – Marti suggested finding or hiring a person to help with finalizing the working budget for the club. Marti thanked Lori Sealock, Rhoda Sievert, and Trisha Zander for starting the process. After further discussion, to finalize the budget a few numbers on the number of teams and players for classic league.
 
Administrator/Registrar – Marti read the ad for the club administrator and/or registrar. $10/hr with varying hours, part-time. Randy Kuehl made a motion to move forward with the hiring process and it was seconded by Kevin Wasco. Approved unanimously.
 
Equipment – Jill Rechner sadly announced that Soccer Locker will be closing in mid-January.
 
Recreational Registration – Carlton reported that there are currently 115 registered. Discussed rec jerseys- due to the quality of the Hi-5 shirts, would like to stay with them, even though prices may be going up.
 
Review of Calendar (standing item) – Carlton will work with Marti to get an e-mail blast out of League One as reminder to register by January 15th as the late fee starts after that. Trisha Zander made a motion to put an ad in the paper and electronic newspaper with the recreational soccer deadline and it was seconded by Chris Trudell. Approved unanimously.
Old Business:
Flatgrass – Tournament has received sanctioning. Got Soccer registration is up and running and website has been updated. Committee voted on new logo that includes the Scheels logo.
 
Logo change update – Ryan Mortimer will work to get the new signs updated at the Neenah Parks as part of his Eagle project. Discussion around the signs at O-Hauser and Mahler. Chris Trudell made a motion for a not-to-exceed $500 for new signs with the new logo to replace the previous signs and it was seconded by Tom Wannamaker. Approved unanimously.
 
Policy for adding new players when the player has moved into the area – In order to ensure fair play, the evaluation will occur at the highest level at that age group’s practice with the coaches of that age group present and the player will be evaluated by two independent evaluators that are not affiliated with that age group preferably the classic director and director of coaching.
 
 
Other:
 
Name change – Marti will follow up with Phil Kerwin on status.
 
Training at Roosevelt on Saturdays – Chuck Coan will be handling the girl’s sessions in the morning and Tom Wannamaker will help with the boy’s sessions. The sessions will start January 7. The sessions are open to U8 and up. 13 sessions for $25 or $5 per session; this will cover the cost of the gym rental. Tom will look into t-shirts with the NSC logo and will be given if the participant attends more than 7 sessions. Volunteers are needed to help collect fees and waiver forms. State waiver forms are needed for any participants that are not registered with a club.  
 
Adjournment- Tom Wannamaker made a motion to adjourn and Chris Trudell seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8:41pm. Next meeting will be held Sunday January 22, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Neenah Police Department Community Room.
