Welcome to the coaching materials page. In this space, PVYSC
is creating a compendium of materials to help our coaches
succeed.
Some of the materials have already been provided to you during the annual coaches meeting. Other materials are things we have found to be very helpful for teaching a particular skill, or are just good advice for things coaches will encounter during the course of the season.
If you find something you think is useful, please let us know and we take a look at it and post it for other coaches to use. Have a good time! Let the kids play!
Paper Valley offers a unique approach to player and referee development in its Recreational Program. For our U8 games, PVYSC provides one certified referee for each field. At the U10 level, Paper Valley provides three certified referees for each field.
Coaching Recreational Teams
How we play
Classic
Classic teams demand a greater level of commitment from both players and coaches. Coaches should make sure they have the appropriate level license and experience before applying to coach teams at this level.
To get the process started for the 2010-2011 season, you will need to submit a coaching application and prospectus to PVYSC by May 31. The prospectus is a summary of the proposed program you will run if selected to coach a team. It should include information such as practice and game commitments, tournaments. your coaching philosophy and expectations, as well as a projected budget.
