Welcome To Paper Valley
Coaches

Thank you for volunteering your time and expertise toward helping young players learn and enjoy the game of soccer.

Perhaps you are a new coach looking for guidance? Or, Maybe you are a seasoned classic coach looking for new ideas? Either way, we have set aside this section of the Web site as a resource for those who want to teach the beautiful game to the youth of our community.

We have a few simple rules for our coaches:

  • Have fun
  • Help the players have fun - it's how they best learn
  • Let them play

The state has some rules to:

  • All coaches for recreational soccer must have a minimum G/Y1 license. It is a three-hour course free of charge to active coaches. More information on licensing can be found at www.ecdsoccer.org of www.wiyouthsoccer.com. The club pays the cost of securing this license.
  • Coaches who wish to coach classic soccer must have a minimum "E" license for U14 and younger and a "D" license is recommended for coaching U15 and higher classic teams. PVYSC will reimburse coaches for the successful completion of these courses.
  • All coaches must have a valid, state-issued pass to be on the sideline of a game. This pass may be obtained from Wisconsin Youth Soccer by applying online. PVYSC pays the cost of this pass. No Pass, No Game.
