Field Maintenance Project
Neenah Soccer Club is looking to make improvements at a number of our primary fields. These fields are used throughout the year for practice and host league games weekly. The improvements we are looking to make are not our typical annual maintenance requirements, however, are needed in order to provide flat and resilient fields that are able to hold up to game play. Below are the fields we are looking for improvements to be made on by the start of our season:
· Mahler Park
· Great Northern
· Lakeview
· O'Hauser
Neenah Soccer Club would be looking for donations of equipment, operator time, or funding to get the following items:

· Road-grade roller (10,000# with vibration packing).
· Aerating unit or pay for aeration to be done on these fields as preparation for rolling.
· Overseeding to ensure that the fields germinate properly.
· Fertilization to ensure proper weed control and seed germination.

Estimated cost of this would be $5,000.00.
We are looking to accomplish this by April 28, 2012.

Guidelines for Inclement Weather
  • When thunder is heard, or a cloud-to-ground lightning bolt is seen, the thunderstorm is close enough to strike your location with lightning. Suspend play and take shelter immediately.

  • 30-Minute Rule: Once play has been suspended, wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard or flash of lightning is witnessed prior to resuming play.

  • Reset the clock and another 30-minute count should begin if there is any subsequent thunder or lightning after the beginning of the 30-minute count.

  • If there is inclement weather, as defined above, occuring prior to the onset of the game, it is suggested that your team should check with the away club/team for decisions regarding the game status.
